Sebagian orang mungkin punya music preference yang konsisten, ada yang keep on rockin' (like my own husband), yang classic all the way, ada yang suka lagu mellow (biasanya in temen-temenku yang sweet and romantic ladies nih)..
But for myself, my music preference have always been in metamorphosis through the years.. mulai dari NKOTB and TommyPage (in Junior HS), slowrock and TOP40 (Senior HS), lalu di awal masa kuliah malah 'flashback' and menggilai lagu-lagu tua dari penyanyi senior (dari BarryManilow sampai Kenny Rogers).
My big turning point is when I was in touch with Neri Per Caso, the italian sextet-acapella. Dari sini, aku mulai menyadari bahwa seleraku adalah 'pria-pria indah bersuara indah' hehehe.. karena sejak itu aku mulai menggemari pop-opera (Josh Groban, Russel Watson, and the latest one, Il DIvo!!). Karena music taste mulai membaik, aku juga mulai menggemari jazz dan instrumental music. Dari david benoit, incognito, to mezzoforte and the rippingtons.
And now, guess what I like? I fell in love with beat-boxing.. ini gara-gara Blake Lewis, runner-up American Idol 6, his music arrangement is very cool.. kerennn!
Trus, gimana kalo suara indah ala Neri per Caso + beatbox + formal music education + great sense of entertainment? Those become : baSix.. the sextet group from Denmark.. They're more than cool.. they's amazing!
